Mercy Center's annual Fair Earth Bazaar has become a "can't miss" destination for many - an opportunity to shop early for Christmas knowing that each purchase is causing positive change in the world.
 
Now in it's sixth year, the 2011 Fair Earth Bazaar will feature hundreds of unique, beautiful and reasonably priced items -- jewelry, accessories, home goods, chocolates and more -- all handcrafted by artisans in developing countries such as Africa, Asia and South America.  All items are certified as Fair Trade, guaranteeing that workers enjoy fair wages and humane working conditions. The Fair Earth Bazaar is a perfect combination of our ministry to promote peace and social justice with a commitment to the arts.
 
During our transition, Mercy Center is committed to continue the tradition of the Fair Earth Bazaar and promote the mission of the Sisters of Mercy to help the economically poor of the world, especially women and children.  Over the past five years, Mercy Center has contributed almost $200,000 toward alleviating poverty in developing nations through purchasing goods to sell at the Bazaar.
 
This November, Mercy Center is delighted to be partnering for a second year with Our Lady of Mercy School to present the 2011 Fair Earth Bazaar as part of their annual Holiday Boutique.
