Directed Retreats

A directed retreat experience is grounded in solitude, silence, prayer and daily meetings with the spiritual director.  Directed retreats call for a receptivity to the movements of the Spirit and are adaptable to the needs and desires of each individual.

Week-long directed retreats are scheduled throughout the program year.  The peak of our retreat season is July and August, when our entire facility is devoted to quiet.  During the fall, winter and spring we also offer week-long and weekend directed retreats; with a special discounted fee during our off-peak months of January and February.

Mercy Center's 7-day directed retreats begin on Friday evenings.  We ask that you arrive by 7 pm to ensure that you are settled in and ready for the 8 pm gathering of retreatants and directors.  Should you want to arrive earlier, for dinner at 5:30 pm, please be sure to make a diiner reservation with Betty at least a week in advance of your arrival. We request a $10 donation for dinner. Our retreats end at 10 am the following Friday.

If your busy schedule doesn't match with our schedule of directed retreats, you are most welcome to schedule your own individual retreat, with spiritual direction, at any time that space and a spiritual director are available.
